Job Responsibilities

As a project manager, you will lead the municipality's complex projects from the early idea stage to completion and financial follow-up. You will be responsible for the economy of development and exploitation projects. You will lead cross-functional project teams with both internal and external specialists, procure contracts (often in collaborative or partnering forms). You will ensure that the projects meet the municipality's goals for ecological and social sustainability, climate, equality, and good economic management. You will manage complex risks and report to the steering group. Part of the assignment is to drive active citizen dialogue and collaboration with businesses and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a relevant university degree or equivalent work experience that the employer deems equivalent, as well as several years of experience leading complex development or exploitation projects in the public sector. You have experience working within public exploitation and/or development projects. You have good knowledge of the community building process and exploitation economics, as well as good knowledge of relevant legislation such as the Public Procurement Act, contract law, and the Planning and Building Act. It is an advantage if you have qualified training in project management, BAS P/U, as well as experience with collaborative contracts and knowledge of the Public Water Services Act. Experience working in a politically governed organization is also an advantage. We would also like you to have experience with EU projects or other external funding sources. Furthermore, you have a driver's license, good system skills, and ease in communicating in Swedish both verbally and in writing.

You possess strong leadership skills and excellent collaboration abilities, are secure, and have mature judgment even in difficult and controversial matters. You are structured and analytical and have an easy time building trust with colleagues, politicians, citizens, and others.
